With free agency nearing its kickoff, the Sacramento Kings have expressed interest in signing both Andre Iguodala and Zach Randolph. They would provide veteran leadership to the club.
Andre Iguodala is scheduled to meet with the Sacramento Kings at the start of free agency (9:01 pm Pacific Time on 6/30/17). The Kings have a clear lack of veterans and are looking to sign the top tier veteran free agents. Iguodala is coming off a four-year stint with the Golden State Warriors. He moved to the sixth man role and helped the Warriors win two NBA Championships in the last three seasons. That championship experience alone would be a great asset to the rebuilding Kings. Throw in Iguodala’s on-court abilities, and the target makes all the sense in the world for Sacramento.
Zach Randolph could be another target for the Sacramento Kings in free agency. Randolph previously played the last eight seasons for the Memphis Grizzlies and was an integral part of the team when now Kings head coach Dave Joerger was in charge. The working relationship between player and coach plus the Kings need for a reserve power forward makes this signing a distinct possibility.
Randolph goes by the nickname Z-Bo. He is a great rebounder and solid defender. Those are two traits Sacramento would love to acquire in free agency.
