The Sacramento Kings reportedly agreed to a contract with Bogdan Bogdanovic on June 28.  This article takes a look at some fun facts about him.

After over a year of waiting, Sacramento Kings fans will finally get to see Bogdan Bogdanovic in their uniform.  The Kings acquired his rights in a 2016 draft day trade with the Phoenix Suns.  He is an exceptional talent, and you can read more about his on-court abilities here.

Today, I will attempt to introduce you to him as a person by providing you with some fun facts about Bogdan Bogdanovic.  This exercise is an effort to wrap our heads around the total picture of what Sacramento is receiving in this deal.  Without further ado, here are the fun facts about Bogdanovic.

1.  Bogdan Bogdanovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia.

2.  Bogdanovic joins a long line of Serbian NBA players.  Current NBA players include Nikola Jokic, Nemanja Bjelica, and Boban Marjanovic.  Past players include former Kings Peja Stojakovic and Vlade Divac.

3.  He has played on the Serbian National team since 2009 and made his debut senior debut in 2013.  Bogdanovic was part of their 2016 Olympic team that took home the silver medal.

4.  In 2014 and 2015, Bogdanovic won the Euroleague Rising Star Trophy.  Other winners include Ricky Rubio, Nikola Mirotic, and projected top two selection in the 2018 NBA Draft Luka Doncic.

5.  He is not related to Bojan Bogdanovic who finished out last season with the Washington Wizards.  Bojan is from Croatia and despite the last name is not Bogdan’s relative.

6.  He is the highest paid NBA rookie ever after he signs his three-year deal worth a reported $36 million.

7.  His previous team Fenerbahce won both the Euroleague and the Turkish BSL in 2016-2017 according to RealGM.  Bogdanovic scored himself All-Euroleague First Team in 2017 for his efforts.  Here is a highlight video from last season of Bogdanovic’s on-court talent.  He is number 13 in case you were wondering.

8.  Bogdanovic turns 25 on August 18 meaning this young man has accomplished a lot in his young career.  He signed his first pro contract in 2010, so do not expect this guy to look like a rookie next season.

10.  Bogdan Bogdanovic lists at 6’6 and 205 pounds according to Basketball-Reference.   Oddly, Malachi Richardson of the Kings lists at that exact height and weight.
