A Royal Pain Prospect Profile: Jayson Tatum

The Magic would love if Tatum fell to them. He is the ideal partner in the frontcourt with Aaron Gordon with the ability to get buckets from any spot on the floor or serve as a spot-up shooter to open space for Gordon. Elfrid Payton and Gordon played great down the stretch when the latter (finally) moved to a small-ball role at the four. Adding Tatum gives the Magic the go-to scorer they need at times and doesn’t hinder the development of Payton or Gordon. A starting five of Payton-Evan Fournier-Tatum-Gordon-Nikola Vucevic would have plenty of floor spacing and could contend for a playoff spot.
