A Royal Pain Prospect Profile: De’Aaron Fox
The obvious choice. Sacramento finally gets their point guard in Kentucky’s De’Aaron Fox. He’s the perfect backcourt complement with Buddy Hield with Fox’s setting up open looks for him and guarding the best opposing guard. His pick-and-roll ability will lead to plenty of simple finishes for Willie Cauley-Stein at the rim. Fox’s shooting percentages are worrisome, so adding shooters around him would be smart to open lanes for drives. The future would look much brighter if they can grab the Kentucky guard, and I don’t think there’s a secondary option if Fox is sitting there.
