A Royal Pain Prospect Profile: Lonzo Ball

The Los Angeles Lakers have entertained the idea of taking Josh Jackson or De’Aaron Fox, but all signs point to selecting Lonzo Ball. The local point guard would elevate the offense with his sublime passing and vision. His shooting form raises questions about developing a mid-range game, but Ball’s range is limitless which will draw defenders out of the paint and help open the floor for his teammates. With Paul George rumored to head home to LA either before, during, or after this season and last season’s second pick Brandon Ingram on the roster, drafting Ball makes sense instead of adding another wing in Jackson. With D’Angelo Russell shipped to Brooklyn, Ball will have the keys to the offense from day one.
