1) Philadelphia 76ers (from Boston): Markelle Fultz, Point Guard, Washington, Freshman

Stats per game 2016-17: 35.7 MIN/23.2 PTS/53.5 eFG%/41.3 3PT%/5.9 AST/5.7 REB/1.6 STL/1.2 BLK

A Royal Pain Prospect Profile: Markelle Fultz

The 76ers cashed in on their hoarding of future assets in a trade with Boston and will take Markelle Fultz with the top pick. The on-court fit makes sense theoretically with Fultz being able to spot-up off Ben Simmons, whose been labeled as the team’s primary ball-handler going forward. Fultz can easily take the reins himself and run the offense. He adds another top prospect to a roster that includes Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Dario Saric, setting Philly up to contend for the next decade, IF they can stay on the court. They didn’t give up all their assets and captured the best prospect in the draft.
