Stats per game 2016-17: 29.9 MIN/16.3 PTS/65 eFG%/46.6 3PT%/8.2 REB/2.4 AST/1.1 BLK/0.6 STL
Measurements from 2017 NBA Draft Combine: 6’9 ¾ height with shoes/222 lbs. /5’11” wingspan/8’11” standing reach
A Royal Pain Prospect Profile: T.J. Leaf
The Hawks are another team with difficult roster decisions to make this offseason. They dumped Dwight Howard to Charlotte for very little return and are forced to pay Paul Milsap and Tim Hardaway Jr. or go into a rebuild. TJ Leaf would give Atlanta a stretch four that is ideal for Mike Budenholzer’s system. He scores from everywhere, makes smart passes, and can make the open shot. He needs to add strength and learning defensive positioning to be able to stay on the floor in the NBA.
20) Portland Trail Blazers- DJ Wilson, Forward, Michigan, Sophomore
Stats per game 2016-17: 30.4 MIN/11.0 PTS/60 eFG%/37.3 3PT%/5.3 REB/1.3 AST/1.5 BLK/0.5 STL
Measurements from 2017 NBA Draft Combine: 6’10 ½” height with shoes/234 lbs. /7’3” wingspan/9’1 ½” standing reach
A Royal Pain Prospect Profile: D.J. Wilson
Portland uses their second pick of the night on DJ Wilson. The Michigan forward has an all-around offensive game and can guard three positions on the wing. He can spot up to space the floor and was an efficient scorer in the paint. The Trail Blazers continue their pursuit of versatile forwards after taking John Collins with the 15th pick.
