A Royal Pain Prospect Profile: Justin Jackson
The Heat and Pat Riley have a history of taking established college players in the draft, and Jackson would continue this trend for Miami. He’s not the most attractive prospect in this class, but the 2016-17 ACC Player of the Year knows is the perfect role player to add to the Heat. Jackson improved his game each season in college and developed a quick-release jumper that should translate to the next level. His three-point range continues to extend to complement a midrange game that utilizes floaters with both hands. Jackson has the size and quickness to become a viable, multi-positional defender. I’m higher on Jackson than most people and Miami’s strength staff is the best place to fill out his slender frame.
