Complete 2017 NBA Draft Order: Updated following Nets, Lakers swap
By Tyler Watts
The NBA Draft is happening on June 22. Today, we will take a look at the complete draft order of all 60 selections following the Nets and Lakers trade.
We have another trade! The draft implications were smaller in this deal, but it was a surprising move to me. The Los Angeles Lakers dumped 2015 second overall pick D’Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov for Brook Lopez and the 27th overall pick in this draft. That gives the Lakers three first round picks, and back-to-back picks at 27 and 28.
The move was surprising as the Lakers gave up on a young promising talent for a year of Brook Lopez and pick 27. Los Angeles was probably motivated to make this move to rid itself of that terrible Timofey Mozgov contract they signed last season, and that allows it to make a small amount of sense.
The Nets got a young player I have been high on in D’Angelo Russell. I think Russell has shown some impressive NBA skills in his first two seasons and could blossom in year three for the Nets. They are the winner of this trade in my eyes.
Without Further ado, let us get down to the full updated draft order for June 22.

Final Thoughts
I figured I would add some pertinent information you might want to know here in the closing paragraphs. The Philadelphia 76ers have the most selections in the draft with five (including the number one overall selection after the trade) and four teams currently do not have a pick. Those four teams are the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Clippers, and Golden State Warriors. The Sacramento Kings have three choices this season. The Kings’ current selections are five, ten, and 34 overall.
