The NBA Draft is fast approaching, and this article outlines the draft date and when and where the Sacramento Kings pick.

The NBA Draft is always a night of hope and wishful thinking.  Every team thinks their new toy is going to be an All-Star or the MVP in the coming seasons.  There is the dream that this 19 to 22-year-old young man turns into the next Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, or Chris Webber.  The reality is a lot of the players selected will not be NBA superstars, and some of them will flame out and barely see the court at all.

The 2017 draft is a huge night for the Sacramento Kings.  The trade of DeMarcus Cousins netted them a second first round selection and pushed them into rebuilding mode.  Sacramento’s roster needs talent and draft night will be the first step in rebuilding the roster this offseason.

With that said, we will look at the draft date and time, where the Kings are selecting, and conclude with some final thoughts.  Without further ado, let us get down to business.

Time- 7 pm Eastern or 4 pm Pacific

Location- Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York

Sacramento Kings selections

The Sacramento Kings currently have three picks in this draft.  The choices currently are five and ten overall in the first round and pick 34 overall in the second round.

There you have it, when the draft is and where the Kings will be selecting.  As I mentioned, it is an important night for the Sacramento Kings’ franchise, so tune in and watch the drama unfold.  Hopefully, Sacramento selects their franchise player and three pieces of their next playoff team.
