5. Sacramento Kings (via Philadelphia 76ers)- De’Aaron Fox- PG- Kentucky

As I have stated all offseason, the Sacramento Kings have two defined needs in this draft.  One, they need a point guard.  Their current roster has zero true point guards.  Garrett Temple can fill a few minutes in a pinch, but they need to secure the future of that position.  Two, they need a forward that can be a defensive force.  Sacramento is a bad defensive team and needs to improve in that area.

Why De’Aaron Fox?

De’Aaron Fox’s A Royal Prospect Profile

If Fox is on the board at five, I do not see any way the Kings select someone else.  Fox is not a player without warts, but he is incredibly fast, can create on offense, and profiles as a good on-ball defender.  Drafting Fox gives Sacramento a point guard to build around and in my opinion the third-best player in this draft class.  The Sacramento Kings were lucky to move up to number five and have their choice of the next three point guards in this draft class.

I am very excited at the potential of Fox joining the Kings.  Check out the highlight video below to see why I am falling for De’Aaron Fox already.
