19. Atlanta Hawks- Jarrett Allen- C- Texas

The Atlanta Hawks currently face the potential of losing their entire starting frontcourt this offseason.  Paul Millsap has opted for free agency, and Dwight Howard appears unsettled with his role.

To further complicate their frontcourt, Ersan Ilyasova, Mike Muscala, and Kris Humphries are all free agents.  The only legitimate full time four or five under contract for next season is Howard.  Expect the Hawks to be in search of big men both in the draft and free agency this summer.

Why Jarrett Allen?

Jarrett Allen is a raw talent but has the athletic ability and agility to be a force in the NBA.  He needs to fill into his frame and will need some time to develop, but Allen has the upside to be the top traditional center in this draft.

Allen lacks experience and some basic technique to his game, so I would not be surprised to see him spend some time in the D-League next season.  I think he could grow into a pick and roll problem and a decent rim protector in the NBA if developed properly.   The Hawks are usually good at developing their talent making this a great fit for both parties.
