The 2017 NBA Draft lottery takes place on May 16.  Today, we will examine when, where, why, and how to watch the lottery unfold.

Today is an important day for the Sacramento Kings franchise.  They currently have two top ten selections in 2017 NBA Draft after the DeMarcus Cousins trade netted them the New Orleans Pelicans first-round pick, but they could end up with zero first round picks if things fall just wrong tonight.  You can read about the ramifications the lottery could have on the Kings plus how the lottery works here.

Start Time

The lottery starts at approximately 8 pm Eastern or 5 pm Pacific time.

TV Info

ESPN:  NBA Countdown starts at 7:30 pm Eastern and they have listed the lottery not starting until 8:30.  Immediately following the lottery will be game two of Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors
