The NBA Draft Lottery came and went on May 16. It was a great night for many franchises including the Sacramento Kings.
Today, we take a look at the final first round draft order. Then, we will take a look at what changed on lottery night to set this order.

Lottery night changes
- The Sacramento Kings selection jumped to third overall. That triggered the Philadelphia 76ers to pick swap the Kings meaning Philadelphia selects third and Sacramento fifth.
- The Los Angeles Lakers moved up to second overall and knocked the Phoenix Suns down to fourth overall.
- The Boston Celtics had the best odds and secured the number one overall pick in the lottery.
Final Thoughts
The Sacramento Kings, Boston Celtics, and Los Angeles Lakers were the three big winners of the draft lottery. The Celtics were winners because they won the first overall selection. The Lakers were selected second overall and get to keep their pick. Sacramento got to keep both of their selections and even moved up to pick in the top five. Clearly, they were the winners and with the final draft order set, we can all beginning cooking up which player is going where for the next month.
