2016 Dikembe Mutombo Tweet

Conspiracy theories ran wild just last year after Hall-of-Famer Dikembe Mutombo tweeted the Philadelphia 76ers congratulations on the first pick the afternoon of the lottery drawing.  The lotto was not supposed to have happened yet, but Mutombo sent the tweet.

In his defense, he claimed it was a mistake, and it is easy to confuse the lottery odds with the results if you are not totally locked in, but low and behold the 76ers did have the first pick in last season’s NBA draft.

Was Mutombo’s tweet a mistake, coincidence, or something more?  You be the judge.
