Grading Each Player on the Current Sacramento Kings Roster
By Rafe Wong
Buddy Hield
When Buddy Hield was acquired from the News Orleans Pelicans back in February, there was little hope that he could be the savior for the Kings. Although he may not be a savior, Buddy showcased in his 25 games with the Kings that he can play a big role for the team’s future.
During his tenure with Sacramento, Hield was able to average 15.1 points and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 48% from the floor, 42.8% from the perimeter, and 81.4% from the free-throw line. Excellent numbers for a player that has the makings of becoming a sharpshooter.
Overall, Hield’s impact was mostly made on the offensive side of the ball as he did struggle as a defender. He may not be a franchise centerpiece, but he may be the long-term two-guard that the Kings have been clamoring for in a while.
Overall Grade: B+
