Should the Kings stay in their lane and take losses to get a better draft pick? The Sacramento Kings are onward and upward whether you like it or not.
Head Coach Dave Joerger is not holding back with these Sacramento Kings. They are all about getting points on the board, defending the rim and winning ball games. It has taken a minute to find their groove but they have found it and they fight like hell until the end.
Buddy is Only Getting Better
The Kings’ latest victory 123-117 came on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves. No doubt about it, Buddy Hield was on fire. Hield kept the ball moving and the points coming resulting in a career-high scoring record of 22 points. Buddy gets better every single time he steps onto the court and Coach Joerger along with the rest of us is taking notice of his clutch performances. (Quote courtesy of NBA.com)
"”I think that’s Buddy Hield’s best game as a pro,” Joerger said. ”Whether he made shots or not, he’s learning to do the other things; when we help, when we don’t. Some of it is just learning to be a pro and some of it is learning how we do it in Sacramento. I thought he did a really nice job.”"
Lawson and Cauley-Stein Look Great
Ty Lawson came into the game ready to put in work. His labor paid off, having 21 points and 11 assists while playing 25 minutes. Lawson has a great shot and an even better understanding of how to feed the ball to the perimeters and to the big guys protecting the rim, getting those easy two pieces.
Willie Cauley-Stein was lethal per usual, putting up second chance baskets over and over again resulting in 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 15 points. Willie has been a phenomenal center this 2016 season. He has stepped up his game tremendously after the roster changes in February, becoming an essential instrument to the Kings’ wins each and every time.
Conclusion
Do you think the Sacramento Kings should stay in their long, stigmatized lane and flub through the final remaining regular season games?

Whether or not you want the Kings to tank to get a better draft pick or whether you’re a diehard fan, these Kings’ wins don’t look like they’re going anywhere or slowing their drive anytime soon. The Kings have needed this time to adapt and develop their game to get acclimated and compete. These Kings don’t give up even after tough losses like New Orleans the other night. They came back stronger than ever to take on the Timberwolves. Sacramento fights strong until the end and I can’t wait to see the remaining regular season wins. Onward and upward for these Kings!
