Sacramento Kings: Game 75 Preview vs Utah Jazz
By Tyler Watts
What to Watch for Tonight
Who Takes a Seat?
The rest game is in full force right now and I will give you my insight on who I believe sits out tonight. Coach Joerger seemed to prioritize Monday’s game against his former team and played the veterans hefty minutes. I think he reverts back to playing the kids tonight meaning he rests both Kosta Koufos and Darren Collison.
In resting Koufos, that opens up big minutes for Willie Cauley-Stein, Skal Labissiere, and Georgios Papagiannis. Papagiannis was a DNP-CD on Monday and I do not think the Kings want that to happen going forward.
If Darren Collison is forced to sit out that opens up more ball handling and playmaking opportunities for the young players. That is and should be the goal of this rebuilding Sacramento team.
Believe in Your Buddy
I mentioned Rudy Gobert’s defensive greatness already meaning that if someone is going to have a big game tonight it will be a guard, so I am trusting in my Buddy. Buddy Hield that is.
Hield did not have a spectacular game against Memphis, but I suspect he bounces back tonight. I think the Kings force feed him 34 minutes tonight and he delivers with 20 points, 3 three-pointers made, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Believe in your Buddy tonight.
