The Sacramento Kings lost to the Golden State Warriors last night by a score of 114-100, extending their losing streak to four games.

Listed down below are the highs and lows of the game pertaining to the Kings.

HIGHS

Buddy Hield: Buddy Hield continues to shine when putting on a Sacramento Kings uniform. In last night’s contest, Hield recorded 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists while shooting 50% from the floor. Kings fans expected Hield to be a scorer, but since coming to Sacramento he has gradually shown improvement on other facets of the game. If the pattern continues, the Kings have themselves a keeper at the two-guard spot going forward.

Perimeter Shooting: The Kings again had another solid performance from beyond the perimeter. Not only were they able to shoot a solid 47.6% from the three-point line yesterday, but they also allowed the Warriors to only make 32.3% of their three-pointers as well. The Kings are starting to gain a reputation of being a perimeter shooting team. For the season, the Kings are tied for 4th among NBA teams in three-point percentage (37.5%).

Defending Klay: Klay Thompson usually pads his stats when playing against the purple and white, averaging 20.4 points per game in his career, but last night the Kings had his number. For the night, Thompson recorded just 8 points while shooting 3-14 from the court. A very unusual sighting for Kings fans to witness.

LOWS

MVPed: Last night the Kings were able to handle Klay Thompson and to some extend Kevin Durant (by default). But the entire three-headed monster could not be slain as Stephen Curry took over the game. Scoring 27 points, distributing 12 assists, and grabbing 8 rebounds for the night, the two-time MVP was able to uplift his team enough to beat Sacramento in comfortable fashion.

Rebounding: The rebounding match last night was won by the Warriors as they recorded 44 total rebounds (13 offensive rebounds) for the night compared to the Kings’ 37 rebounds (6 offensive rebounds) recorded. Rebounding has been a struggle for the Kings all season as they are currently ranked 28th in the league in rebounds per game (40.8).

Turnovers: The Kings’ turnover woes continued last night in the Bay Area as they recorded 19 turnovers for the game. Turnovers are another struggle that the Kings have experienced this season, being ranked currently 21st in the NBA in turnovers per game (14.1).
