Justin Jackson | SF | North Carolina Tarheels
(Friday – 7:09 EST)
Justin Jackson has been really good for the Tar Heels throughout the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. He had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in their opening game against Texas Southern. He backed it up with 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists as UNC escaped with a victory against Arkansas.
For the season, Jackson shot 75% from the free throw line and nearly 40% from three on seven attempts per game. He fits the mold of a three that tend to excel in the NBA. He averaged 18.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists on the season.
Jackson is an interesting prospect that should fall somewhere in the mid to late lottery. He is already 22 which helps him slide a bit, but fits perfectly in the Kings timetable with their current core. At 6’8” he provides ideal size for a wing and would fit nicely at small forward. Jackson has the ability to fill a variety of roles including three point shooter and facilitator.
