San Antonio Spurs Scouting Report

The San Antonio Spurs are a great team again this season.  I talked much about their greatness in the March 8 game preview and not a ton has changed.

The Spurs have run their record to 52 wins and 16 losses and are still sitting second in the Western Conference standings.

It is worth mentioning this is the second of a back-to-back for the San Antonio Spurs as well.  On Saturday, they traveled to Memphis and were defeated by the Grizzlies 104-96 in a mild upset.  Below is a highlight video to give you a glimpse at the Spurs most recent form.

A Pop Special

San Antonio Spurs’ Coach Gregg Popovich has made headlines for years for resting his players.  Tonight is the second of a back-to-back for his team and with the squad expected to make a deep playoff run it seems like tonight could be a Pop Special.  I would not be surprised to see the Spurs sit veterans like Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, or Manu Ginobili.  Heck, maybe Popovich rests them all you never know with him.  The only thing I know is that Popovich is a great coach and has the big picture in mind, so if he feels his guys need rest then rest they will get.
