Minnesota Timberwolves’ Scouting Report

The Minnesota Timberwolves enter tonight’s game with a record of 23 wins and 36 losses.  That places them with the 12th best record in the Western Conference, but just 3 games out of the 8th and final playoff position.

The Timberwolves have struggled on the road this season.  They have just 8 wins in 26 road contests this season.  They also rank 19th in the NBA in plus/minus in road games.  The Timberwolves have found some unfriendly confines away from home this season.

Last time out, the Timberwolves traveled to Houston to take on the Rockets.  Despite scoring 130 points, the Wolves fell to the Rockets 142-130 on Saturday.  Below is a highlight video from that game to give you a glimpse at Minnesota’s most recent form.

KAT Transforming into a Lion

The second-year player, Karl-Anthony Towns, is proving he is truly one of the NBA’s best big men.  Towns is averaging 24.0 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 three-pointers made, 0.7 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game this season.  He is doing all that while shooting 52.2% from the field and 82.8% from the line.  Towns is doing big things this season and really transforming into an elite player.

Karl-Anthony Towns was the rookie of the year last season, but at just 21 years old, big things are ahead for him.  Do not be surprised to see All-NBA selections and possibly an MVP award in this man’s future.
