Golden State Warriors’ Scouting Report

The Golden State Warriors enter tonight’s game with a record of 46 wins and 9 losses.  That is the best record in the Western Conference and four games better than any team in the NBA.

In ORACLE Arena, the Warriors have been almost unbeatable this season.  They have won 23 of 26 home games.  They have not lost a home game since January 6th against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Last time out, the Warriors traveled to Denver.  The Nuggets played an amazing first half scoring 79 points and upset the Warriors 132-110 on Monday.  Below is a highlight video from that game to give you a glimpse at Golden State’s most recent form.

KD for MVP?

Kevin Durant has settled in quite nicely with the Dubs.  Durant is averaging 25.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.9 three-pointers made, 1.1 steal, 1.7 blocks, and 2.3 turnovers per game through 55 games played this regular season.  He is shooting a majestic 53.7% from the field, 37.6% from three-point territory, and 87.6% from the free throw line this season as well.

The statistical performance is truly elite and watching Durant play is a pure joy.  He uses his body well and is just a smart basketball player.  He has all the tools you look for in a player and could easily be the Most Valuable Player if this was not such a crazy year in the NBA.  Enjoy watching Durant tonight and admire his true basketball talent.
