Injuries

Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have three players listed as out for tonight’s game.  Rudy Gay (Achilles), Garett Temple (Hamstring), and Omri Casspi (Calf) are all unable to play tonight.  Temple and Casspi are projected to return shortly after the All-Star break, a positive sign for the Kings.

Ty Lawson is again listed as questionable for tonight’s game with his adductor injury.  As I mentioned yesterday, I doubt Lawson plays tonight.  Why risk him injuring himself when this is the last game before an eight-day All-Star break?  Give him the extra time to heal and leave him on the bench tonight.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have two players listed as out for tonight’s contest.  Zaza Pachulia (Rotator Cuff) and David West (Thumb) have both already been ruled out.  Both players are expected to return shortly after the All-Star break.

Klay Thompson (heel) is listed as questionable for tonight’s game.  Thompson is on the record as saying he will play tonight and that the heel injury that caused him to miss a game was “minor thing”.  Expect to see Thompson firing away for the Warriors in this game.

Stay Alert

Be sure to check twitter or watch the pregame show to get any late breaking information you will want to know before tonight’s tipoff.

Again, this is the last game before the All-Star break, so players may sit out with nagging injuries or just be rested to give them a longer break.  It is a grueling season, so do not be surprised to see something crop up tonight.
