Coach Joerger Values Match-ups over a Set Rotation

We saw the start of this on Tuesday when Coach Joerger started Matt Barnes over Kosta Koufos to match-up better against Luke Babbitt and the Miami Heat.

On Thursday, Koufos returned to the starting line-up to match up against Serge Ibaka and the Orlando Magic’s large frontcourt.

This is good because the Kings have some depth on the wings and have the ability to match-up and better defend each team.  Anthony Tolliver did not get off the bench on Thursday and I think that was a match-ups call by Coach Joerger.

This will make the rotation and minutes more difficult to predict going forward, but will hopefully lead to greater team success in the long term.  This is something to monitor as the season progresses, though.
