The Sacramento Kings plan to hold a Celebration Day in conjunction with the Reno Bighorns to celebrate their new partnership. Read the press release here. If you are a Kings fan living anywhere near Reno, Nevada it sounds like a great day of fun and activities. Let us detail some of the events below.
Coffee and Kings
From 7:30am-9am, the day kicks off with an event called Coffee and Kings. In the PF Chang’s Parking Lot (5180 Kietzke Ln, Reno, NV 89511), you can enjoy a morning coffee, bagel, and “swag bag” with the Kings dancers and mascot.
This is an opportunity to meet the lovely dancers, mascot, and mingle with other Kings fans. Not to mention, you can have a free breakfast and a few gifts. This seems like a really fun and enjoyable time for any Kings fan.
School Rallies
The next stop on the Celebration Day is two local Reno elementary school rallies. This is a chance for young Kings fans to get pumped up. The Kings may make a few new young fans in Reno, a great opportunity for the team.
Pop-in Lunch and “Swag Bag” Delivery
The Kings then plan to bring select local businesses lunches and “swag bags”. If you are working in the Reno area, maybe you will be one of the lucky businesses. No word of what businesses or what the lunches are, but you can hope for the best.
Select-A-Seat Event Opens to General Public
The event I am most excited for of the day is held at the Reno Event Center (400 N. Center St. Reno, NV 89501). You need to sign-up at RenoBighorns.com/membership. This is a complimentary hour and a half (4:00-5:30pm) of food and beverages. You can also meet the Kings dancers and Bighorns’ Coach Martin. Head out grab some free food and drinks and mingle with the other Kings fans if nothing else.
