3. Kings Fall In Game 7 To Lakers: Game 7 is the most pivotal game the Kings needed to win in its Sacramento history. With the series in Conference Finals tied 3-3, both the Kings and Lakers were one win shy of advancing to the NBA Finals.

Although the purple and white played a hard fought game, the Kings fell short to the Lakers in overtime 112-106 (highlights here). To this day it’s the closest the Sacramento Kings has been to achieving the ultimate goal of winning an NBA championship.
