26. Kings Hire Geoff Petrie: In 1994, the Sacramento Kings decided to give the responsibilities of the general manager position to Geoff Petrie. During his administration as GM, Petrie was able to construct a title contending team.

With savvy moves like trading Mitch Richmond and Otis Thorpe for Chris Webber, and trading Jason Williams for Mike Bibby, Petrie played a big part in the Kings success in the early 1990s- late 2000s.

Although Petrie’s tenure with the Kings ended on a down note, Kings will always remember the man that watched games from the baseline tunnel to be the best GM the Kings have had so far.
