McConnell looks to be playing with a chip on his shoulder after going undrafted out of Arizona. Philadelphia does not have a strong point guard candidate to steal minutes from McConnell so his solid production could continue.

After a couple of pedestrian efforts as a facilitator to start the season, McConnell dropped 6 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds, and a steal in just 23 minutes on Monday night. Despite coming off the bench so far this season, McConnell ranks 1st in both assists and steals per game among rookies.
