Caron Butler

Butler may be on his last limb in the NBA, but I still consider him to be an asset both off AND on the court. Based on the numbers, his stroke has shown not to be just solid, but may be getting better by age.

Throughout his career, his overall field goal percentage/three-point  are .434 and .349 , but from 2011 to last season he has made .415 of his overall shots, and at least to my surprise .383 of his three-point attempts.

No question that Butler is past his heyday, but the Kings don’t plan on Butler playing a main role on the team anyways. When Butler does get his minutes on the court, his role will to be a spot up shooter. If he is able to replicate the long-range numbers that he’s had in recent history, it could help the Kings out immensely.
