I’m a fan of this game for a few reasons that don’t even have anything to do with the great effort Little Mac put forth in it. The first is that this time, the Kings didn’t waste the standout performance from McLemore, and won 122-99.

The second reason is that they beat the Los Angeles Lakers, in Los Angeles. Which is always fun. Ben McLemore had a really good game in L.A., and led Sacramento in scoring with 24 points in the victory.

Little Mac wasn’t quite as efficient this game, but he still shot 50 percent from the field and needed just 18 attempts for his 24 points. I like this game because McLemore poured in all sorts of good numbers against the Lakers, ending with 24/5/7/2 and again turning the ball over just one time.

Also it’s encouraging that McLemore made it to the free-throw line six times in this game. His three-point shooting is steadily improving, but if he can continue to drive to the basket as well as have a good shooting stroke he can be a deadly scorer and get buckets in multiple ways.
