Ben McLemore
When McLemore was first drafted by Sacramento in 2013, the expectations were astronomical for him, and perhaps unrealistic. The majority of the Kings fanbase was hoping for McLemore to be that second or third option behind DeMarcus Cousins right away, but like many rookies do when they first enter the NBA he faced growing pains.
But now after having two years under his belt, and during that time showing a gradual rate of improvement, it seems McLemore may be ready to display the season fans envisioned him having. Based on potential, McLemore has one of the highest ceilings compared to anyone else on the team.
The question has always been if he is able to utilize his tools to the fullest effect. If the Kings can have McLemore take another leap of improvement on both ends of the court, there’s no doubt in my mind that he can take on the role as the third option next to Cousins and Rudy Gay.
If McLemore is able to be that reliable third option that the Kings need, it will take this team to another level in my opinion.
