January 13th, 2016 – New Orleans Pelicans
This game features a big man battle that was one of my favorites last season. Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins will do battle for the first time next year in early 2016. Although there is some debate as to which position both of these big men play, they normally do go head-to-head at least a little bit during their games. Which is awesome.
Look, I have no idea why these games aren’t nationally televised, but they really should be. We’ve got the unquestionably best two young big men (and possibly best young players, honestly) that the NBA has to offer. It’s just good basketball.
Last time the two matched up turned into one of the best games of Boogie’s career–he had a massive 24/20/13 (points/rebounds/assists) triple-double in a loss to Davis’ Pelicans (the Brow managed a solid 20/10 double-double himself). Let’s hope this next bash between the two results in another classic Cousins game.
