January 7th, 2016 – Los Angeles Lakers

This is going to be a fun one. To cap off the first week of 2016, Sacramento Kings fans get to watch their team beat down the hated Lakers on TNT, meaning that Charles Barkley and co will be along for the ride. Hearing Chuck make fun of this weak Los Angeles team and show DeMarcus Cousins some love is a great way for Kings fans to start off their 2016 in the right way.

Hopefully Kobe Bryant is healthy for this game, because as much as I want the Lakers to be bad for a while longer to make up for their dominant stretches in years past I do still like and respect Kobe. Not enough to want him to beat the Kings on national T.V. perhaps, but definitely enough for him to at least play out his final year in the Association.

Plus getting to watch Shaq get insecure when the other members of the TNT crew start to talk about how great Boogie is is always fun to watch. The Boogie/Shaq comparison is a real thing, by the way. But even in addition to the Kings being better than the Lakers and likely winning this game, just watching your team play a big-time game like this is awesome–it should be a good one for Kings’ fans.
