Marco Belinelli

Marco Belinelli was one of the first free agents to reach an agreement with the Sacramento Kings. The 29-year old shooting guard had enjoyed a successful two-year stint with the San Antonio Spurs which saw him win the NBA Finals and be named the NBA 3-point shooting champion. Belinelli is a terrific three-point shooter, and should immediately help the Kings on that end of the court.

Perhaps the most valuable contribution Belinelli will bring to the Kings is his championship experience. Having been apart of one of the best run franchises, Belinelli should be a tremendous locker-room presence for the often dysfunctional Kings. In addition, his experience in a winning environment should help provide a guidance to the playoff hopeful Kings.

Belinelli has career averages of nine points, two rebounds, and just over one assists per game. Number similar to this should be expected. It is unlikely that he would start, especially given Karl’s tendency to start two point guards. However, Belinelli is simply to consistent to not earn decent minutes and his shooting will be extremely valuable for the Kings offseason.
