Now that the Sacramento Kings have had the rare taste of winning a game, the question now is: Is there still a chance for the Kings to get back into the playoff race?

Sir Charles In Charge
It’s been a long time since the Kings were four games over .500 and were the darlings of the NBA. You can break up the Kings season so far as the 2014-15 season B.C.I, (before Cousins Injury) in which the Kings looked like they had the talent to beat anybody, and A.C.I, (after Cousins Injury) in which the team looks eerily similar to the team that played last season.
Despite their current slump, the Kings are still just three and a half games back of the Phoenix Suns for that coveted eight and final playoff spot. That itself is a miracle, considering how poorly the Kings have played lately. But the Kings win last night had me saying:
But the fact remains that if the Kings can get on a good run, then we could be back in the playoff chase. Never say die!
But before we continue to dwell on the playoff chase, let’s award the Three Kings of the Night to the players who played a big part in getting the Kings a much needed win last night, shall we?
One King-Derrick Williams
With Corbin inserting Williams into the line-up, he gave the Kings an offensive boost, scoring 17 points, grabbing 5 rebounds and dishing out three assist. Williams was a money player for the Kings, and he has certainly provided the Kings more punch than Jason Thompson has in the previous week.
Two Kings- Rudy Gay
Before fouling out, Gay was having a brilliant all-around game, scoring 21 points, snagging six rebounds and dishing out five assist. He did it all for the Kings, and he and DeMarcus Cousins play help set the Kings up for victory last night.
Three Kings- Darren Collison
And the Three Kings of the night goes to Collison, who was money for the Kings all night long, especially in the final minutes when Cousins and Gay fouled out. Collision provided stellar leadership, and was a bug reason why the Kings got a much needed win in Minnesota.
Naughty King of the Night- Nik Stauskas
Stauskas, we need to see more for you my man. Playing 12 minutes and scoring no points is not going to cut it. Don’t be afraid top score, that’s what you do!

Our #SacramentoProud Tweet of the Night goes to Colin Twomey, (@Colin2me) who provided a very fun fact after the Kings big win on New Year’s Day. And if you don’t like this Tweet, you don’t like Kings’ Basketball.
