The Sacramento Kings are said to be in the market for a backup point guard and they may have their eyes set on Luke Ridnour of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Per Ken Berger of CBS:
"Several teams have called Milwaukee about point guard Luke Ridnour, including Washington and Sacramento, a league source said"
Milwaukee, currently the worst team in the NBA (record wise) is sure to be sellers come the trade deadline and Ridnour should be a valuable commodity given his expiring contract and the league wide desire for a backup point.
Of course, on the flip side – he won’t cost that much either given nobody is going to pay a premium price for a half-season rental.
An 11-year veteran, Ridnour would fill the desired ‘true’ point guard role so many have called for, though, Isaiah Thomas would easily remain the starter as Ridnour is nothing more than a backup at this point in his career.
The former first round pick out of Oregon is currently averaging 5.7 points and 3.4 assists in 21 minutes a game for the Milwaukee Bucks.
