Jimmer’s All Stars, a two-day exhibition (today and tomorrow) including two games between unsigned NBA rookies announced their rosters late last evening which includes Kings draftee’s Isaiah Thomas and Tyler Honeycutt. While we’ve known that the three King members would be taking part, we now know the full rosters and what side they’ll be participating on.
The rosters are (via Salt Lake Tribune):
"Through a draft system, Fredette will be joined by former Cougar Emery, Denver draft pick Kenneth Faried, Portland’s Nolan Smith, Washington pick Chris Singleton, the Kings’ Tyler Honeycutt, Golden State’s Charles Jenkins and undrafted rookie Chris Wright, who played collegiately at Dayton.Leonard’s team includes Kemba Walker, who led UConn to an NCAA title in April, Charlotte first-round pick Bismack Biyombo, Milwaukee’s Tobias Harris, Minnesota’s Malcolm Lee, Vernon Macklin of the Pistons, former Washington guard Isaiah Thoma and undrafted Indiana State product Jake Kelly."
The game, as mentioned above, is open only to rookies (or undrafted players) unlike most of the other charity/rec leagues put on by NBA talent which took in anybody and everybody, bigger name the better. So, no Tyreke, no DeMarcus, no Donte in Provo, this go around.
You can watch the festivities by clicking here as it will be streamed live on KSL.com – BYUtv will also be showing the games live, channel 9403 on DISH, 374 on DirecTV, or via their website. So in short, you miss it, you die. It’s that simple.
