The Sacramento Kings found a way to beat the Golden State Warriors tonight by a score of 109-106. Like Kings’ famous commentator Grant Napear would say, “Tonight’s game was a DANDY!”.

Listed down below are the highs and lows in tonight’s game that pertain to the Sacramento Kings.

HIGHS

Balance Scoring: The Sacramento Kings’ offense was efficient throughout the roster. For the game, six players on te Kings finished the night scoring in the double digits. Those players are DeMarcus Cousins (32), Darren Collison (18), Willie Cauley-Stein (14), Anthony Tolliver (11), Matt Barnes (11), and Ben McLemore (10).

Containing KD: The Kings were fortunate tonight as they were able to handle their own against Kevin Durant. For the game, Durant only scored 10 points while shooting 2-10 from the floor and 0-6 from the perimeter. If the big three of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Durant were in the zone tonight, it would be close to impossible for the Kings to win. Fortunately, the Kings were able to slay at least one head of the three-headed monster.

DeMarcus Cousins: DeMarcus Cousins continues to be a beast on the court. For the game, the big man recorded 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists, one assist shy of earning his third triple-double for the season. It’s a broken record, but the Kings are close to nothing without the talent of Cousins. He is always a positive factor for the Kings when the team hits the hardwood.

LOWS

Splash Brothers: The duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson came to play tonight as they continue to torch the purple and white every time they face them. For the game, the pair scored 61 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists while shooting 21-45 from the floor and 12-25 from the three-point line. The Kings were able to handle Kevin Durant but had no luck against the Splash Brothers.

Perimeter Shooting: The Sacramento Kings struggled in making the long ball tonight as they shot just 30.4% from the three-point line. Players that normally are efficient from beyond the arc, DeMarcus Cousins, Darren Collison, and Arron Afflalo, failed to make a single three-pointer in tonight’s game.

Turnovers: Turnovers remain to be an issue for the Sacramento Kings as they added a whopping 16 turnovers to their season total after tonight’s game. Turnovers have been the Achilles heel for the Kings’ offense this season, and tonight’s performance proved that it still remains to be an issue. Another broken record, but the Kings’ offense can’t take their efficiency up another level until they can limit their turnovers on a gamely basis.
