Kayte Christensen returning as Sacramento Kings sideline reporter

Under the Maloof reign, the Sacramento King sideline reporting was, well, questionable at best.

The one bright spot they had, which was with former WNBA player Kayte Christensen, was taken away after Maloof Sports and Entertainment felt it was more productive to give her former co-host Jim Kozimor the limelight.

That proved to be a mistake (not exactly shocking) as Kozimor was eventually let go (he now works for Comcast in the Bay Area), where a revolving door of silly additions continued to attempt their hand at sideline reporting, which included Jim Gray, which I still can’t get over.

Thankfully though the Kings will now have stability on their sidelines as Christensen will be returning, as uncovered by the Sacramento Bee’s Ailene Voisin:

"Granger also confirmed that Kayte Christensen is returning as a sideline reporter, reuniting with Grant Napear and Jerry Reynolds after a three-year absence. The former WNBA player, who has worked for ABC/ESPN and currently is the social media producer for azcentral sports in Phoenix, was replaced by veteran Jim Gray after the 2009-10 season."

The addition is being met with welcome arms and is yet another solid move under the new ownership group.

So from everybody at A Royal Pain, welcome back Kayte!
