I’ve seen many great things in my times – be it Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle under-roo’s…tiny Koreans riding sea turtles….or strip clubs with free buffets. In all honesty though, I question if all of those…COMBINED…is better than this lovely piece put together by SecretKingFan.
Seriously…take five minutes out of your day and watch this. It’s better than masturbation. Well, sorta. Ish.
Well done SKF. Well done.

Spencer Hawes Benched
Like this team needed anymore dysfunction to it.
Prior to yesterday’s game, the Sacramento Bee released an article which quoted Sean May, Spencer Hawes, and Tyreke Evans on the struggles of playing time and the rotation. None of what the three players said was rude or inappropriate nor was any of it harshly directed at Paul Westphal. Well, apparently, Paul didn’t think so. Westphal informed Hawes that he would not be playing in last nights blow out loss to the Pistons nor would he even dress for the game.
For those of you wondering, here are the quotes from May, Hawes, and [...]
A Thank You To Kevin Martin
I think Boyz II Men were onto something when they said “It’s so hard, to say goodbye”…
You weren’t the longest tenured King by any stretch nor were you the best. In reality though, you gave us hope. You gave us reason to believe. Maybe we hyped it up too much, maybe it was our fault, but it’s all we had. You were all we had. That skinny kid out of Zainsville, Ohio…the guy we all went “who” to when Geoff Petrie took a chance on you.
Nobody really knew much about you…hell, we didn’t even care. We were a perennial power. [...]
In what has been a whirl wind twenty four hours, the Kings finally completed the anticipated (yet shocking) Kevin Martin deal this morning. The final deal looks like this:
The Knicks will acquire McGrady and Sergio Rodriguez from Sacramento, sources said.
The Rockets get Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill and Jared Jeffries from New York and will have the right to swap first-round picks with New York in 2011 as well as take on New York’s 2012 first-round pick.
Sacramento obtains Houston’s Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey and New York’s Larry Hughes.
I’ll have more on [...]
Kevin Martin Traded To Houston
The Sacramento Kings are in advanced talks with the Houston Rockets on a trade that will swap Kevin Martin for Tracy McGrady
Along with Martin, the Kings will send Sergio Rodridguez, Hilton Armstrongand Kenny Thomasto the Rockets. Joey Dorsey and Carl Landry will go to the Kings.
I don’t even know what the fuck to say.
It looks like things weren’t so quiet in the Kingdom, like we’ve been lead to believe.
With Salmons being traded to the Bucks, this trade is no longer valid obviously…but it apparently was quite close to happening:
The proposed deal was contingent on John Salmons(notes) staying with the Bulls, but that appeared in doubt with the Milwaukee Bucks expecting to complete their own trade for Salmons.
In the proposed trade, the Rockets would get Kenny Thomas(notes), Andres Nocioni(notes), Beno Udrith and a Kings’ protected No. 1 draft pick. Sacramento would acquire Tyrus [...]
Kings are looking at a Sergio Rodriguez deal with Memphis, most likely for a trade exception. It [w]ould save them his expiring salary the rest of the year and Sergio would certainly be happier. New York and New Jersey have also inquired.

Tyreke Evans scorched the Rookie Challenge last night (26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals) and was voted MVP of the Rookie-Sophomore game. Evans, deciding to share the wealth, handed over his MVP trophy to San Antonio Spurs power forward Dejuan Blair who had just as solid of a night with 22 points and 23 rebounds – but it was clear from a non-statistical standpoint who the MVP of the game was.
Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder scored 40 for the Sophomore team in a losing effort, just two shy of his teammate Kevin Durant’s record.
A few [...]
A few days ago, talks were leaked from Indiana Pacers beat writers that the Kings were in talks with the Pacers for power forward, Troy Murphy. Local legend and icon Sam Amick confirmed reports this afternoon that the Kings and Pacers are indeed having serious talks about a swap of power forwards.
While minor details are still being worked out, the proposed trade would send Murphy to Sacramento in exchange for Kenny Thomas.
With Sacramento being under the salary cap, the trade would work financially in a straight up swap, but, rumors have the Pacers [...]
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Sacramento Kings are one of a handful of clubs that have extended an olive branch to the Chicago Bulls with hopes of trading for disgruntled forward Tyrus Thomas. The Knicks, Spurs, Nuggets and Hornets have also been mentioned as possible suitors for the young power forwards services. The Bulls are claiming they have offers for future first round picks and are insisting that Kirk Hinrich be included in any deal for Thomas, rumors that sound a bit too pricey and most likely [...]
