Assuming the rumors of Jason Thompson re-signing with Sacramento are true and the starting salary is at the rumored $6+ million mark, the Kings wont have a ton of money to throw at Ryan Anderson in free agency so it could be positive news that the Orlando Magic are exploring sign and trades for the Sacramento native.

Orlando RFA Ryan Anderson likely won’t re-sign with Magic and will be moved in a sign-and-trade, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Finding the pieces that would satisfy Orlando seems difficult though as the Kings assets appear to be too rich or too poor, but there’s no doubt there will be talks if there haven’t been already. The Kings wont be alone though, as they’re not the only team who has explored bringing in the talented shooter.

There’s no word on any financials of the deal, but it was Jones a few days back who mentioned that the Kings offer to Thompson was starting at “about 6″.

Assuming Thompson is re-signed, that leaves little room for Sacramento native and current Orlando Magic forward Ryan Anderson. Thompson’s re-addition would put the roster at 13 bodies, but more importantly, leave little room for the Kings to offer Anderson a deal Orlando would be uncomfortable matching.
