I know, I know, we’re a day or two late on this, but another round of applause for Sacramento King fans who yet again donated their hard earned money to send underprivileged children to a Sacramento Kings game. As you’ll recall, the original “Here We Buy Night” was an incredible success with nearly $10,000 dollars of fan donations sent in, enough to purchase 600 plus tickets for children/families to attend a Kings game – many of them going for the first time. The event was so successful “Here We Buy Night 2″ was created and again, King fans didn’t hesitate, raising over $8,400 dollars – good enough to purchase almost 500 tickets for local youth and their families. The tickets were distributed among Sacramento charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, former Sacramento King Donte Greene‘s COS Foundation, 3Fold Communications and more. All in total, between the two donation drives, Sacramento King fans collected upwards of $17,000 dollars in just a matter of days, enough to purchase over 1,100 tickets in total.

Here We Buy Night 2 takes place tomorrow evening against the Philadelphia 76ers, complete with a tailgate party.

Also – a special shoutout to Sacramento King fans @kfippin and @ed_m7 among others for being a driving force behind the idea of the Here We Buy nights. Prime examples of why Sacramento King fans are among the best in all of professional sports.

This past Saturday was a special night for Sacramento, the Kings and their fans. The fan put-on “Here We Buy” night couldn’t have been more successful – from being covered in the New York Times to trending on Twitter in random places like San Diego, King fans made their point and did so loud and clear.

The night was so successful and so fun that it will be happening again – this time against the Philadelphia 76ers.

After talking with a handful of grassroot campaigns like Here We Stay and Crown Downtown, Carmichael Dave announced on his radio show that “Here We Buy” part two will take place on Sunday, March 24th
