The Sacramento Kings were stumped by the Milwaukee Bucks tonight by a score of 116-98. Listed down below are the highs and lows of tonight’s game pertaining to the Sacramento Kings.

HIGHS

Shooting Guards: The group of Buddy Hield, Arron Afflalo, and Garrett Temple, and Tyreke Evans had a balanced outing tonight which showcased defensive effort and efficient mid-range shooting. The total numbers for the quartet tonight were 63 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals while shooting 26-46 (56.5%) from the floor.

Trillie Cauley-Stein: Willie Cauley-Stein helped the Kings in multiple facets of the game tonight. For the match, Cauley-Stein recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 blocks. As the season has progressed, Cauley-Stein has continued to showcase more of his worth on both ends of the floor. Kings fans are hoping this trend continues for Trill going forward.

Perimeter Shooting: The Sacramento Kings had a solid night shooting the basketball from beyond the perimeter as they made 10 three-pointers out of their 26 shots attempted from the area. Three-point shooting continues to be a catalyst for the Kings’ offense as the season progresses.

LOWS

Greek Invasion: Tonight’s performance by Giannis Antetokounmpo proved why he is considered a rising star in today’s NBA. For the game, Antetokounmpo dissected the Kings’ defense by recording 32 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. Good news Kings fans is that their team won’t be seeing Antetokounmpo for the rest of the season.

Perimeter Defense: The Kings’ perimeter defense was a dud tonight as the Bucks were able to make 16 three-pointers out of their 35 shots attempted (45.7%) from the area. Yes, the Bucks do have quality shooters on their roster, but the Kings’ defense allowed so many open shots to occur that it was like Milwaukee was doing a shootaround session throughout the game. The Kings have struggled all season in defending the three-point shot, and it will need to be a focus of improvement for the team going forward.

Battle of the Reserves: The Sacramento Kings’ bench usually beats out their opposition’s nightly, but tonight, the victor of the battle of the benches goes to the Bucks. For the night, the Bucks’ reserves totaled 52 points while shooting 18-34 (52.9%) from the floor, which is better compared to Sacramento’s bench who scored 37 points and shot 16-36 (44.4%) from the floor tonight.
