The Sacramento Kings host the Charlotte Hornets on February 25, 2017.  This article predicts the Sacramento Kings’ box score for that contest.

Today, the Sacramento Kings host the Charlotte Hornets in the second of their two meetings this regular season.  The Kings defeated the Hornets 109-106 in Charlotte on January 28th.

The Kings returned from the All-Star break on Thursday to host the Denver Nuggets.  Sacramento played a great brand of team basketball in route to an 116-100 victory.  Below is a highlight video from that game in case you missed the action.

Without further ado, below is my Sacramento Kings’ box score prediction for today’s contest against the Charlotte Hornets.

Box Score Prediction

Charlotte Hornets This Season

The Charlotte Hornets rate as a surprisingly good defensive team this season.  The team is 7th in the NBA in defensive rating and 10th in points allowed.  Expect some stingy defense tonight against the Kings.

There are very mediocre on the offensive end of the floor.  They rank 17th in offensive rating and 15th in pace.  They are a middle of the road team in most offensive categories.

Balanced Attack

The Kings without DeMarcus Cousins are a team with no true go-to scorer.  That is not really a negative thing as it allows the team to share the ball and have each player make greater contributions to the collective.

With that being said, I predicted five Kings to finish with double-digit points and every rotation player to score between 5 and 18 points.  That type of balance keeps the defense on their toes and can make the Kings a tough offense to deal with.  Stay tuned to see if the Kings continue playing like they did on Thursday night or change it up in game two with the new squad.

Summary

There you have it, my Sacramento Kings’ box score prediction for today’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.

It is worth mentioning that this game tips off at 2 pm Pacific time, so clear your schedule for the afternoon and fill it with some Kings basketball.  The game is featured nationally on NBA TV, so every fan should be able to tune in and enjoy the game.
