The Sacramento Kings return home to take on the Miami Heat on January 4, 2017.  This article predicts the Kings’ box score for that game.

The Sacramento Kings and the Golden 1 Center play host to the Miami Heat tonight.  This is the second meeting between the two squads this season.  The Heat defeated the Kings 108-96 in overtime on November 1, 2016.

Last time out, the Sacramento Kings headed to Denver for a battle against the Nuggets.  The Kings walked away with a 120-113 on Tuesday.  Below is a highlight video in case you missed any of the action.

Without further ado, below is my prediction of the Sacramento Kings’ box score for tonight’s contest against the Miami Heat.

Box Score Prediction

It is worth mentioning that this is the second of a back-to-back for both teams.  The Heat lost to the Suns in Phoenix on Tuesday.  Expect some tired legs tonight in Sacramento.

The Heat have, also, been bitten hard by the injury bug.  Miami was without 5 rotation players in Tuesday’s game.  Starters Hassan Whiteside and Justise Winslow missed the game along with Tyler Johnson, Dion Waiters, and James Johnson.  Whiteside and Winslow have already been ruled out for tonight, so expect an undermanned Heat squad tonight against the Kings.

As far as the statistics go, the Heat aren’t a standout team in any area this season.  They rank 24th in the NBA in pace, 12th in defensive rating, and 29th in offensive rating.

Couple that with the injuries and both team playing a back-to-back and tonight’s contest should be a low scoring game favoring the Sacramento Kings.

Expect a similar recipe to last night’s game with DeMarcus Cousins carrying the scoring load and Darren Collison filling the role of number two option.  The rest of the rotation should fill in nicely behind those two options.  This game is ripe for a Kings victory if the team shows up motivated and ready to play.

Summary

There you have it, my prediction of the Sacramento Kings’ box score for tonight’s contest against the Miami Heat.  Please tune in or head out to the game and the help Kings build a winning streak on Wednesday night.
