Prediction: Sacramento Kings’ Box Score Game 29 at Utah Jazz

The Sacramento Kings travel to take on the Utah Jazz on December 21, 2016.  This article predicts the Kings’ box score for that game.

The Sacramento Kings head out on the road to take on the Utah Jazz.  Tonight’s contest is the second meeting between the teams this season.  On December 10th, the Kings traveled to Utah and were destroyed by the Jazz 104-84 .

In a strange scheduling quirk, both teams played last night in California.  The Jazz played the Warriors in Oakland and the Kings were at home against the Portland Trail Blazers. So, it will be the second of a back-to-back for both clubs tonight.

The Sacramento Kings defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 126-121 on Tuesday night.  It was a wild game with DeMarcus Cousins scoring 55 points and being ejected, only to have it overturned moments later.  It was a show in the Golden 1 Center.  Below is a highlight video from that game in case you missed the action.

Without further ado, let us get to my prediction of the Sacramento Kings’ box score for tonight’s contest against the Utah Jazz.

Box Score Prediction

The Utah Jazz team are again a tough nut to crack this season.  They rank 29th in the NBA in pace and 3rd in defensive rating.  They are going to slow the game, play great defense, and limit turnovers making them a very hard team to score on.

I know what you are thinking DeMarcus Cousins is coming off a 55 point game and is poised for another big showing tonight, well not so fast.  On December 10  when Sacramento traveled to Utah, Boogie was held to 16 points and shot poor percentages from the field, 3-point, and free throw line.  I predicted a little better than that tonight, but remember Rudy Gobert is one of the NBA’s truly elite defenders and he will be defending Cousins most of the evening.

As of this writing, signs are pointing to Rudy Gay returning and Omri Casspi missing another game with his illness.  Be sure to check out the pregame reports to get the up to the minute news before tipoff.

Summary

There you have it, my prediction of the Sacramento Kings’ box score for tonight’s contest.  The Jazz are good at making the game ugly and slow paced.  Throw in the fact that this is the second of a back-to-back for both squads and it could be an interesting contest tonight.  Let us hope that the Kings can win ugly tonight and get the job done in Utah.
