The Sacramento Kings have again started their offseason early due to missing the playoffs for the 10th consecutive time.

As the Kings head into their new arena with a new look, they also need to revamp their franchise from the front office to player personnel.

So far the Kings have made two big moves. One in their front office and the other in their coaching staff.

On April 28, the Kings hired Ken Catanella as their new Assistant General Manager and on May 9th, the Kings then hired Dave Joerger as their new Head Coach.

Through these two moves, the Kings seem to be off to a good start in their offseason.

Catanella previously was with the Detroit Pistons for five years as their Director of Basketball Operations and Assistant General Manager. During his tenure in Detroit, Catanella surely played a role in the Pistons creating what is now a young and talented roster on the rise.

Joerger then joined the Kings organization freshly after being let go by the Memphis Grizzlies. During the three years that Joerger coached in Memphis, he earned a record of 147-99 while making the postseason in every season he coached the team.

So Kings fans, what grade would you give Vlade Divac and the Kings front office so far in the offseason? Do you think they have done a good or bad job? We would like to hear from you. To me, I think the Kings have done solid work so far in their offseason. Although Catanella did not build the entire Pistons roster by himself, he did contribute, and that deserves credit considering what the roster looks like now in Detroit.

The Joerger hiring I think was also a big upgrade. The Kings got pretty lucky that a coach as qualified as Joerger was interested in the Kings in the first place, and when they noticed the opportunity they pounced on it.

There is a lot potential that is swirling around the Sacramento Kings organization. Now it is time to live up to it.
