The Sacramento Kings head coaching search has been extensive, but there is one name that I think Kings fans would be fine with if he were added to the list.

This man’s name is Frank Vogel, who today it was reported that the now former head coach of the Indiana Pacers will not receive a contract renewal from the Indiana franchise going forth (per ESPN).

Vogel, who is only 42 years of age, has been the head coach for the Indiana Pacers since 2011. During this six-season stretch, Vogel has earned a record of 250-181 while earning 5 postseason berths along the way.

Prior to his head coaching career he has been an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics (2001-2004), Philadelphia 76ers (2004-2005), and the Indiana Pacers (2007-2011).

So Kings fans, what do you think of the idea that the Kings might actually have the opportunity to get the former Pacers coach as their own for next season? To express you thoughts on the issue feel free to participate in our survey that is currently posted on our Twitter account.

Maybe even a better question, what are the chances of the Kings actually landing Frank Vogel as their next coach? We have a survey for that question available on our Twitter account as well.

The fans in the Sacramento Kings community might be tired of the bevy of names that have popped onto the list of head coaching candidates for their team. But I think fans would not mind if the front office were able to interview Vogel in the near future.
