The Sacramento Kings have won 4 of their last 6 games. That is great to see. Another fact that is fantastic of the team has been the sighting of Eric Moreland and Duje Dukan on the Kings bench in the last couple of games.

In the last month, Dukan and Moreland have been playing with Sacramento’s D-League team the Reno Bighorns, but they have finally found their way back to the Kings bench starving for an opportunity.

With the Kings officially eliminated from the current playoff race and resting main players like DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo ending the season, this will be a good time to give the former Bighorns some minutes to end the season.

More from Kings News

With the Kings already taking the direction of playing their young guys (Seth Curry and Willie Cauley-Stein) more minutes as the season concludes, why not add a couple of more heads to the mix.

Both Dukan and Moreland have little to no experience in their NBA careers so far. Combining both their resumes the duo have a grand total of 8 games of experience. All of those games belonging to Moreland.

It would be beneficial for both parties if the Kings granted Dukan and Moreland some minutes on the court in these last five contests.

Fans have witnessed the increased production that Curry and Cauley-Stein have had when given significant playing time on the court and possibly the same effect could happen for both Dukan and Moreland. If anything, both players would gain valuable experience on the NBA level.

Taking this direction will also give the Kings front office a clearer perspective of what kind of players Dukan and Moreland can be, and whether they will be part of the franchise’s future going forward.

Again, five games left in the season with nothing to play for other than pride. Sacramento has the opportunity to capitalize on this situation by playing ALL their young guys which include the recent call-ups from Reno.

It would be unfair for both parties if the pair weren’t given at least a chance to prove their worth at the professional level.
